East Hert's Got Talent!

As X-Factor kicks into gear, Cheryl Cole sobs and Simon Cowell hoists up his trousers higher, East Hertfordshire is lining up its very own competitions to showcase the talent in the region.

Fame Factor is being organized by Broxbourne Council, and it's searching for a pantomime star to appear in Jack and the Beanstalk at the Civic Hall later this year.

The winner will perform in three shows alongside the pantomime star Charlie Dimmock (Fairy Organic) and Broxbourne funny man and magician Michael Otton (Fox Trott).

All ages are welcome to enter the competition, whether singers, dancers, jugglers, magicians or anything else. Auditions will take place on Sunday October 12th at Wolsley Hall, Cheshunt from 11am. Applications are available via this link. Closing date for applications is Tuesday September 30th.

Meanwhile, the LoveWare:LiveWare community group has launched Ware’s Got Talent, and this year there are two categories – one for under 13s and one for teens and adults.

Auditions will take place on Saturday October 18th, 10am-5pm, and Sunday October 19th, 2-6pm at Tower School. And the Finalists’ Public Show will take place on Friday October 31st at 7pm.

There will be a panel of local judges and all auditions will be videoed, so even if you don’t make it to the final, you will be able to see yourself on the big screen during the show.
